Chi Sao Open is back! - The Martial Games 5th and 6th Sep 2009

THE MARTIAL GAMES

The Martial Games is a new era of tournament in the UK, and has been dubbed by some as "the Olympics for Martial Artists". With 24 areas running over the weekend it is set to be one of the most unique and slick tournaments ever to hit the UK and with an estimated 1000+ competitors it’s not one of those events you're going to want to miss!

Brought to you by the organisers of MAF-UK (held in April 09), this bespoke tournament for Martial Artists will play host to hundreds of individuals from all across the globe, competing for their spot on the podium whether it be Bronze, Silver or Gold!

The Martial Games will be held at Loughborough University (Leicestershire) on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September 2009, guest celebrities will be awarding Trophies including Gok Wan & Zara Phythian and we are filming the entire tournament for a DVD release and television. On top of all this we are inviting IOC (International Olympic Committee) members to attend and watch the games.

We have appointed a board of Directors to look after each category, each specializing in their field.

Lion Dance to open event

Kwok Cheung Sifu and his team will be opening the Chi Sao Event with a lion dance!

This should be a great start to the day!

Refs and Judges added so far

We aim to have different branches of Wing Chun come together for this event.

With that in mind, we are happy to say that we now have some of the officals on broad.

Meeting of Officials for Event 12th March

We will be holding a meeting on Wednesday 12th March at 8.30 pm St Johns Wood, London.

This will be to go over the rules for fighters, Refs and Judges. We will have a demo and walk through of the rules.

Judges and Refs will be invited each year from different branches of Wing Chun.

We hope to have an event that will be an excellent place for Wing Chun to grow.

Event Fight Training night

We held a event fight training night this week. We had guys from 4 different schools come down to go over the rules and also have a roll with my guys and me. All went very well. The guys that came down where very nice and enjoyed meeting my group. Just shows that the event as already started positive interaction between different schools already!

We will hold another date shortly. All are welcome.
